Best Buddies kick off the school year

Best Buddies is a non-profit organization that promotes inclusion and creates friendships for the special needs population.

Each month Best Buddies hosts a chapter meeting and an event for the club members such as attending sporting events and playing games. Along with the monthly events, it also hosts an annual Prom in April for special needs high school students in the area.

Their first meeting is this Friday, Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. in Jason Hamann’s room, and all new and returning members are required to attend. Their first club event will be walking in the Homecoming parade on Thursday, Sept. 28.
