Homecoming week, spirit day events announced

Sunday
The week kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 24, with float construction at the bus barn on Devils Glen Road. Students are invited to make their class float that will be used in the Homecoming parade later in the week.
Monday
The first spirit day theme is Class Color day. Seniors can wear pajamas, juniors are to wear black, sophomores wear white, and freshman wear gold.
Tuesday
The next spirit day is the theme for the entire week: ‘Surf’s Up.’ Wear Hawaiian shirts, leis, sunglasses, swim shorts, and flip flops.
Wednesday
The third spirit day is USA theme. Show your pride through red, white, and blue. Wednesday night the junior and senior girls will battle in a game of Powderpuff flag football in TouVelle Stadium. Powderpuff sign up forms are available in the activities office. The cost is $15 and forms are due by Monday, Sept. 18.
Thursday
Thursday’s theme is Generations. Seniors dress as grandparents, juniors as adults, sophomores as kids, and freshman as babies. Thursday night joins the rest of the community in the fun with the parade starting at Splash Landing and ending at the North parking lot. After the parade, coronation of Homecoming royalty will take place on the football field.
Friday
Friday’s spirit theme is black and gold. That night, the football team will play against Clinton at 7p.m.
Saturday
Homecoming week concludes with the dance at 8:30 pm. Tickets are available for $7 before the dance or $10 at the door.
