Bettendorf places second, Flanagan places first in MAC golf tournament

On Thursday and Friday, Sept. 22 and 23, the boys golf team had their annual two-day MAC tournament at Kewanee Dunes in Illinois.

The boys fell just short of Pleasant Valley and placed second as a team with a total of 625, just three strokes more than PV.

Though the team placed second, senior Benny Flanagan earned the title of MAC Champion with a 77 on day one and a 74 on day two with a total score of 151. Flanagan did an exceptional job for his senior year. Flanagan wasn’t the only one who placed, though.

Senior Trever Rogan placed seventh with a total score of 154, and senior Steven Gotwald placed ninth with a 158.
