Police investigation on westbound I-80 jams traffic after body found on freeway

DAVENPORT (Bettendorf Growl) — Police activity on the westbound I-80 jammed traffic near the I-280 interchange, Thursday morning. 

At about 9:15 a.m., police were called to investigate a body found near the Wisconsin Avenue overpass on I-80.

The Davenport Police Department, Scott County Sheriff's Department, the Iowa State Patrol, and Iowa Department of Transportation assisted in the investigation.

As of 11:50 a.m., all of the westbound I-80 was reopened to traffic.
