In a BuzzFeed video, "Things You Understand If You're From Chicago" released on Monday, Quad City-style pizza made the list.
However, this led many to ask: What is Quad City-style pizza?
With Quad City-style pizza, the crust has a nutty taste, the tomato sauce is spicy, the toppings are under the cheese and the pizza is cut into strips.
Harris Pizza claims itself to be the original; however, other Quad City restaurants serve the style as well, including Sports Fans, Wise Guys, Uncle Bill's and Frank's.
The Washington Post released a recipe of the local style in early 2016, so others could try the taste of the Metro.
