Bettendorf bank robbery suspect arrested in suburban Indianapolis

The suspect responsible for robbing Great Southern Bank inside the Devils Glen Hy-Vee, that prompted the lockdown of three Pleasant Valley schools in August, has been taken into custody.

54-year-old Shayne Carson of Albuquerque, New Mexico was arrested in Whiteland, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis.

Carson is believed to to have robbed nearly 20 other banks around the United States.

The FBI is currently investigating.
