Changes to take place on John Deere Expressway Thursday night

MOLINE (Bettendorf Growl) — With construction season coming to and end, the first phase of the John Deere Expressway widening project is set to finish this week.
The following changes will be made to John Deere Expressway traffic patterns that may affect your commute:
THURSDAY, NOV. 16 around 9:00 p.m.
John Deere Expressway eastbound traffic will switch to newly completed lanes
Traffic will move down to one lane at the west crossover for nearly an hour
Traffic on 41st, 53rd, 60th, and 70th Streets will be stopped while eastbound John Deere Expressway traffic changes are made
THURSDAY, NOV. 16 by 11:59 p.m.
Ramp detour from the I-74 Iowa bound to the eastbound John Deere Expressway will be removed
38th Street will be opened to eastbound John Deere Expressway traffic
FRIDAY, NOV. 17
Median barrier dividing current John Deere Expressway eastbound and westbound traffic will be removed
Removal of median will take 4-5 business days, allowing additional left turns lanes from John Deere Expressway to 41st and 60th Streets
An additional lane will open on the westbound John Deere Expressway leading to 70th Street
