National Honor Society to host winter clothes drive

National Honor Society is working with the World Relief Committee to collect coats, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, baby blankets, baby toys, diapers, bottles, baby clothing, and more for local shelters and soup kitchens.

There will be a Candy Cane sale Dec. 11 through the 15. Students can send a candy cane to their friends with a note, and the proceeds will go towards purchasing gifts for Bettendorf families who can’t afford them.

“I am excited to help sell candy canes because I know it’s for a good cause,” said Ashley Bodkin, committee member.

Drop off donated items into boxes conveniently placed around the school now through Dec. 11.
