The Frozen Landing at Middle Park opened for the season on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
The opening began with the lighting of the Christmas tree, as well as choreographed routines from the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities.
The ice rink is open for all ages and ability levels.
There is no cost to skate at the rink; however, there is a $2 charge to rent skates for both children and adults.
Concessions are also made available at the rink.
The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 12-9 p.m., Friday 12-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 12-6 p.m. The rink will close if temperatures are above 50 degrees, below five degrees, or if wind chills are -15. The rink will also close if it is raining.
