A police pursuit through Bettendorf ended in a crash Friday morning, with two of three suspects apprehended and police searching for the third.
Officials say an unmarked Bettendorf squad car spotted a stolen vehicle and began to follow it. Police then made the decision to create a perimeter and place stop sticks on the roadway after the occupants of the stolen vehicle spotted the unmarked car.
The police pursuit began near 16th and Grant Streets in the downtown after the stolen vehicle swerved towards an officer placing stop sticks.
The pursuit ended at Greenwood Ave. and Wood Lane after the vehicle hit a pole and the suspects left the vehicle.
A K-9 unit was called to assist police in locating the third person.
