Bettendorf to host 'Rhythm on the Riverbend'

Members of Bettendorf show choirs are gearing up to host Rhythm on the Riverbend, a home competition, for a second year. Schools are coming from all over the state of Iowa, and one group is traveling almost three hours from Manteno, Illinois, to compete.

Schools attending the competition include Manteno, Liberty, Dowling Catholic, Davenport West, Davenport North, Muscatine, Wahlert Catholic, Western Dubuque, and Ankeny. These schools are bringing 15 groups total, making a full day of competition and entertainment.

Audio Intensity will perform at the end of the day round of competition at 4:30 p.m. and awards will follow at 5:15 p.m. Surround Sound will take the stage at 9:45 p.m. after finals and final awards will be presented at 10:30 p.m. in the gym.

Admission to the competition is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
