Students react to Eagles' Super Bowl win

On Sunday, Feb. 4, many students geared up to watch the 52nd annual Super Bowl, when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots.

Senior Stevi Mulvehill has a tradition in which she and her family meet at her grandpa's house, and they get a cookie cake with the two teams on either side. Besides the cookie cake, sub sandwiches and chips and dip were also necessities for the big game day.

“I liked the halftime show. My favorite part were the mirrors,” Mulvehill said about the Justin Timberlake performance.

Mulvihill was neutral about which team she wanted to win, but she still enjoyed the game.

John Cavins, however, was rooting for his favorite team, the Patriots.

“I was a little shocked by the results, I expected it to be a good game,” Cavins said.

Cavins did not watch the halftime show, but he saw pictures on Twitter, and he thought it was funny to see how the performance looked on camera versus real life.

While there are many disappointed Patriots fans, the Eagles fans are bursting with excitement with their first Super Bowl win.

"I had confidence in them and knew it was going to be a good game," senior and Eagles fan Blake Rollinger said.
