Student Council will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts for $8 on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m outside the school.
All of the proceeds will be going to Colleen’s Dream, a foundation dedicated to researching and fighting ovarian cancer.
Colleen was diagnosed with stage 3-C ovarian cancer in September 2007, and passed away in February 2013.
“...we feel it is important to raise money for research that will lead to reliable early detection testing and improved treatment for ovarian cancer,” according to their website.
The organization is currently working with research hospitals and universities that are researching ovarian cancer in hopes of finding new information and technology that will help ovarian cancer patients.
