Fans packed the TaxSlayer Center Sunday night for the return of the Metro's indoor football team, the Quad City Steamwheelers.
The Quad Cities' first indoor football team under the same name was established in 2000, but folded in 2009.
However, after nearly a decade, the team is back under a new league, Champions Indoor Football.
The team faced the Chicago Marauders for the first game. The Steamwheelers won 39-12.
