Students who have volunteered 50 hours or more are qualified to earn the service letter award. In order to receive the service letter or pin, students need to send in their documented hours, a reflection paper, digital evidence, and a brief statement over how volunteering impacted the student or others by March 23, 2018.
The paper should be one to two pages written on the experience of the community service. Students can earn the award when they volunteer 50 hours or more. To earn the community service pin, students must have volunteered 100 hours of service. Twenty percent of the required service hours to earn a letter must directly benefit Bettendorf Community School District.
The service letter ceremony will be take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the Commons. You can find more information about the requirements and volunteer opportunities here.
