Another round of severe storms expected Thursday

While the Quad Cities dodged the bullet of severe storms on Wednesday evening, the Metro will likely see a round of severe storms for Thursday.

Storms are expected to reach the area around 3 p.m. and move across the Metro until midnight.

Hail and damaging winds are the main concern; however, there is also a chance of a few isolated tornadoes. The threat of flooding will be minimal.

Therefore, the Bettendorf Growl Weather Authority has put the severity of storms for Thursday at "elevated."
