Celebrating French culture, the French club gathers in D268 most Fridays to host crêpe parties, conversation tables and movie nights.
The club, mostly centered around French culture, plans French game nights, movie nights, food parties and even bonfires to provide its members with a lively, amiable place to gather and make friends.
Senior Elise Kalin said, “I would not have the friends I have today if not for French club.”
Sheila Conrad, the club’s advisor for ten years, said that “you can join at any time of the year.”
Conrad, along with Kalin, co-president, and Andrew Murphy, a newer member, mention the welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Murphy, who joined due to a suggestion from the club’s advisor, believes he stayed a part of the club because he “-felt very welcome.”
Kalin said, “French club was one of the best decisions I made in high school.”
As the co-presidents look forward to planning the biennial trip to Chicago, Kalin hopes to maintain a fun, inclusive atmosphere.
