FBLA hosts annual pancake breakfast

After a month of planning, FBLA had another successful pancake breakfast to raise money for the March of Dimes on Nov. 17.

A national sponsor of FBLA for over 40 years, the March of Dimes is an organization that is dedicated to improving the health of mothers and babies to prevent premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality.

“Part of the reason that we have such a healthy child is because of the research that the March of Dimes did before she was born,” said Shari Baker, a longtime supporter of the March of Dimes.

The president of FBLA, Lauren Kress worked with other members within the club to garner donations from local businesses, such as Dunn Brothers Coffee, Coffee Hound, Walmart, Costco, Hy-Vee, and McDonald’s.

Having already raised $15 million for the organization nationally, FBLA manages to continue their support through their successful pancake breakfast.
