Bulldog Profile: Julia Fiedler

Over the years, administrators have defined a Bettendorf Bulldog as a student with a devotion to excellence and a display of passion, purpose, and pride in everything they do. A great example of a true Bettendorf Bulldog is freshman Julia Fiedler.

“I think Bett Pride is just being kind to everyone,” Fiedler said, and she shows it.

“She’s super sweet, a good friend and funny,” said friend and fellow Student Council member, Olivia Ramirez.

Fiedler has been involved in Student Council since sixth grade and believes that it is her biggest contribution to the school.

“It’s really fun to be making other people’s experiences at school more enjoyable and getting everything the school has to offer them,” Fiedler said. Fiedler’s hard work in Student Council doesn’t go unnoticed.

“She has good ideas and she’s a really hard worker,” Ramirez said .

“She’s very creative, and when we first interviewed her she seemed very intelligent, and she has definitely lived up to that,” said Christina Burroughs, Student Council advisor.

Her favorite part has been helping with the hunger drive.

“Being a part of the hunger drive, and being able to go to the food bank to see how much we’re helping people has been my favorite thing,” Fiedler said.

While involved in Student Council, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), the musical, National History Day and dance outside of school, Fiedler is also planning on joining the Community Conservation Club.

“I want to become more environmentally conscious since the Earth is really important because that’s where we live,” Fiedler said.
