In the past decade, coach Robbie Furne and the Bettendorf girls golf team had not won a MAC championship. On May 6, 2019, that changed with the girls securing the championship at the Kewanee Dunes.
Led by an even-par from freshman Shannyn Vogler, the team shot a 346 total. Vogler ended as the individual winner with 72.
And although the conference championship was undeniably a large goal for the team, their ultimate dream still lies ahead: a state title.
“We are currently ranked number two or three in the state. Our goal is to bring a state title back to Bettendorf,” said senior Maddie Wischman.
The Bulldogs will celebrate their seniors and play tomorrow, May 14, at Palmer Hills.

Bettendorf places six in the top ten at MAC.
