Student Council tied for first place skit at the Hunger Drive “ExtravaCANza” on Monday night.
Area high schools participated in the event at the Riverbend Food Bank by performing a skit for the chance to win an extra 2,000 pounds for the competition. Most schools performed a parody of a song, while Bettendorf performed mini-scenes of popular shows like “Stranger Things,” “The Office” and “Friends.”
Bettendorf and Davenport West were required to perform their skit once more to declare an exact winner decided by the cheers from the crowd. Davenport West was declared the winner by the cheers, but Bettendorf was declared a winner in our hearts.
Bettendorf has never tied for first place skit at the kickoff.
