BHS Student Council hosts trivia night

The trivia night raised over $250 on Thursday, Jan. 16, in the BHS Commons. The event’s sole purpose was to raise awareness on mental health. The admission and donations from over 30 attendees support National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
Student Council held this event for its state service project. This year, the Student Council state service project is “Stop the Stigma” which addresses the stigmas around mental health to raise awareness on the subject.
The state service committee in Student Council also has a mental health awareness week between Jan. 13 to Jan. 24. A PRIDE session will be held on Thursday. Jan. 23 to destress with yoga.
