Pennies for Patients raises money for cancer research

NHS is running the Pennies for Patients drive, and students are encouraged to donate to their second block class until March 12.

The donation proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help families of patients pay for doctors, medicines and treatments, and fund research to end cancer.

The second block class with the highest total will win a lunch catered by Olive Garden.

Support for the drive can also be given through purchasing blood drop and balloon signs which will be displayed in E Lockerbay.

This year, the school’s goal is to beat last year’s total of $2,800.
